
About Gemari
Gemari is a guitarist, songwriter and vocalist with a professional career spanning over 30 years. Gemari is well versed in a variety of styles with an emphasis on Rock, Pop, Funk, Southern Soul and Contemporary Jazz.

A native of Brooklyn, NYC, Gemari began his formal music training at the prestigious Phillipa Schuyler Performing Arts School in Bushwick. Gemari continued his music studies upon relocating to South Carolina. Among Gemari's notable teachers is the legendary virtuoso guitarist, Greg Howe. From 1995 - 1997, Gemari was a member of the band Admiral Freebie--winners of the South Carolina Rock Band of The Year Award, presented to the band at Farm Aid 1996.
Since the late 90's, Gemari has continued to tour and perform throughout the Southeast region of the US--notably with his Soul/Jazz band Soul Identity and with National recording artist Omar Chandler. In 2021, Gemari released his debut single "Wherever There's Sunshine" and officially launched his career as a Contemporary Jazz solo artist. Known for his dazzling guitar solos and electrifying performances, Gemari continues to captivate audiences as diverse as his musicianship.
